Welcome to my website. I hope you will enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them. For me, my stories and characters transport me into other worlds—magical worlds where anything can happen. Most of my books have elements of magic, folklore or supernatural elements in them, but they all speak of truth and reflect the heart of the human soul. Thank you for reading.

I often get asked how I start writing. It is still somewhat of a mystery to me even, but I think it was a combination of a suggestion from my husband and the desire to create another creative outlet while having more time for my children. In the past, I was a ballerina. I loved the art, and still do. The other day when I saw a photo in a magazine of the ballet Romeo and Juliet, I started to cry because I miss it so much. It is one of my passions, and always will be.

I opened a ballet studio in 2007, and loved working as the Director of the studio. However, I worked way too many hours, saw way too little of my kids and husband. A  lot of the time I couldn't even take a paycheck, money was so tight. When our lease came up for renewal, and the landlord wanted to increase the rent (we could not really even afford the one we had), I decided it was time for a change.

I have always loved reading, and I have written a few songs and poetry in the past. My major for a while at BYU was Comparative Literature before I switched it to dance, but I always loved literature. Some time before my dance studio closed, my husband suggested I write a book. Since I am from Norway, I wanted to connect more with my heritage and learn more about the Vikings. I am always up for trying new things, so I jumped in and started writing Winter Solstice Winter. I think now my husband is kicking himself for recommending I write, because I have become completey obsessed with it.

So like I said, my first novel was Winter Solstice Winter—A Viking Blood Saga. I re-wrote it like a hundred times before I felt it was ready. The second novel in the Viking Blood Saga, Summer Solstice Summer, was much easier to write. I understood the concepts of POV, how to structure the story better, how to build toward the end and I knew my characters a lot more. I also hired a great editor who helped me draw out the characters. If you are a writer, a great editor is an absolute must. I cannot say how much time I have wasted and how much money I have wasted too on hiring bad editors.

While editing my first two novels I started on another series called Desirable Creatures. Originally I had named it the Huldra series, but decided to rename it. It is about a Huldra, a Norse folklore being. The Huldras (or Huldus, the male versions of the beings,) are extremely attractive and have magical powers. One of them is that they can control humans with their saliva, and another is that they can breathe underwater. It's a paranormal romance, and is great for ages 12 and up.

While Wraithsong was being edited, I started writing my next novel "Trepidation." This series is called White Witch Black Warlock and  is about an eighteen year old girl who has lived her entire life in Camp Salem. It is a concentration camp created for witches and warlocks after the 'War on Witches' thirty years earlier. When an evil warlock outside of Camp Salem sends a curse, infecting millions upon millions of humans, the International Peace Alliance turns to the witches, asking them to help. In return, and if they succeed, they will receive their freedom. I also consider this a paranormal romance.

So now, I'm finishing up Trepidation and also am almost done editing Wraithsong. I am also writing the first draft of Fall of the Nine Realms, the third book in the viking Blood Saga to come out soon. I hope you'll enjoy my novels, and leave feedback if you read them. I see it as my life's work to write, and I am so grateful to God that he has given me the opportunity to do so.
